What is a gold finger PCB?

It is a printed circuit board with gold-finished edge contacts that mate with a connector. The board edge, contact pattern and finish together form the interface.

Is hard gold identical to ENIG?

No. They use different coating processes and serve different design purposes. Do not substitute ENIG for a specified wear-contact finish without a reviewed qualification.

Which thickness should I choose?

Use the selected connector, operating conditions and qualification evidence. No single thickness guarantees a fixed mating life for every contact system. State units and the acceptance basis explicitly.

Is a 30-degree bevel always required?

No. Follow the connector drawing. Show the angle reference, final thickness and other controlling dimensions rather than relying on a generic angle.

Can the two board faces have different contact patterns?

The complete connector pinout and mechanical design determine the contact pattern. Identify both sides and the viewing convention clearly in the release data.

Do different finger lengths automatically provide hot plugging?

No. Sequencing involves pin assignments, mating motion and system electrical behavior. A geometry difference alone does not qualify hot-plug operation.

Can I request a quote without drawings?

Yes. Name, email and a description are required; files are optional. Share the connector, application, approximate construction and quantities you know, and identify open details.

Which files can I attach?

The form displays the actual enabled formats and limits. The configured default is up to five files, 10 MiB each and 25 MiB combined. Use the displayed list rather than assuming every extension is accepted.

What if I need an NDA first?

Select the NDA request or describe it in the inquiry. Do not upload confidential drawings until any agreement you require has been arranged. Selecting the option does not execute an NDA.

Does the cost tool provide a manufacturing quotation?

No. It calculates ideal gold material usage from your assumptions. Manufacturing, process losses, nickel, testing, setup and other costs are excluded.

Can I get a guaranteed lead time here?

Lead time and feasibility must be confirmed against a reviewed scope. This website does not publish an unverified production capacity or delivery guarantee.

Where should I send technical questions?

Use the unified inquiry form. Include your drawing revision, connector reference and the question you want resolved; public email and phone contact details are not used on this site.

Have a drawing to review? Send your gold finger PCB requirements with the connector part number, quantities and any open questions. Files are optional.
